Pelican Engineering, is set to publicly launch our new TE7 zero-emission truck at Road Transport Expo, marking a return to new truck sales for Pelican Engineering as we introduce the Chinese-built 7.5-tonner into the UK.

The TE7 is designed to meet the growing demand for zero-emission transport solutions and Yutong will have three examples of the truck on display at the giant truck exhibition – two trucks on the stand in Hall 3 and a vehicle available for “Ride & Drive”.

With its advanced battery electric drivetrain, the TE7 is set to make a significant contribution to cleaner air and a healthier environment. The truck features a high-capacity battery system that ensures extended range and reliability, making it ideal for urban and regional distribution.

Richard Crump, Managing Director at Pelican Engineering Group said:

“We are excited to introduce the TE7 to the UK market. This launch builds on the success we have had with the Yutong bus and coach range in the UK and represents our commitment to providing sustainable and efficient transportation solutions. The TE7 is a testament to our dedication to innovation and environmental stewardship.”

The Yutong TE7 is equipped with a high-power electric motor, offering peak power of 200kW and maximum torque of 470Nm. It features an integrated battery pack centrally mounted in the chassis with a seven-in-one motor controller mounted under the cab. There are two battery options available, offering 100kWh and 132kWh capacity, and a range of up to 180 miles from the larger capacity unit.

The truck is currently available in two wheelbase options (3360mm and 3850mm) with a longer wheelbase 4500mm version available by the end of this year. Unladen chassis-cab weight for the 3850mm wheelbase option equipped with the 100kWh battery is a class-leading 3060kg.

We look forward to welcoming you to stand N37 in Hall 3 at RTX on the 24-26 June.
