Warburtons Backs Yutong TE7 in First Orders

26/11/2025

We’re proud to announce that Warburtons, the UK’s largest bakery brand, has placed its first order for our Yutong TE7 electric trucks, after a successful trial earlier this year.

Warburtons has taken its first formal step toward electrifying its 170-strong 7.5-tonne fleet by placing an initial order for two TE7s. These vehicles, scheduled to enter service in early 2026, mark the first stage of Warburtons’ ambitious plan to decarbonise its entire 7.5-tonne operation by 2030.

Both trucks will operate from Warburtons’ Wakefield depot, handling local and regional deliveries of fresh products. They’ve chosen our 132kWh version, which offers a range of up to 180 miles—perfect for their delivery needs.

We’re pleased to have earned Warburtons’ trust, thanks to our long-standing relationship and the confidence they have in our product and support package.

As Steven Gray, head of transport at Warburtons, said:

“We are delighted to have confirmed our first orders of the Yutong TE7.”

As previously announced, the TE7 qualifies for the Office for the Zero Emission Vehicles Plug-in Truck Grant [read more here] ,enabling customers to save up to £16,000. This grant removes a key cost barrier and strengthens the TE7’s position in the competitive electric 7.5-tonne market.

Interest in the TE7 remains strong, and we have further trials scheduled later this year. We look forward to helping more operators take the next step toward a cleaner, more sustainable future.
