We are delighted to welcome David Watts to the Pelican team as our new Electric Truck Sales Manager.
David is an experienced fleet industry professional specialising in safe, green and efficient fleet management having worked across the fleet industry for over 28 years. He has been at the forefront of fleet sustainability and electrification for over 18 years, and has helped 100’s of organisations develop robust environmental fleet and electrification strategies to support carbon reduction objectives.
Having originally developed the Plugged in Fleets Initiative in 2012 whilst at the Energy Saving Trust for the Department for Transport and the Office for Low Emission Vehicles, this industry leading project has become the blueprint for fleet transition to electric
David is routinely featured in the fleet press and has been a regular speaker for many years at fleet industry events on fleet sustainability and electric vehicles, the highlight of which is being invited to speak at the Oxford International EV Summit in 2019 and again in 2024.
As an expert member of the EV working group for the British Vehicle and Rental Association and the EV committee for the Association of Fleet Professionals, David has helped steer the voice of the industry on fleet electrification.
In 2023, he was awarded EV Champion and inducted into the Green Fleet EV Wall of Fame. He has also featured in the Green Fleet Most Influential Top 100 for the last 3 years
Joining at an exciting time – ahead of the UK launch of the Yutong TE7 7.5 tonne electric truck, David will be working closely with customers, industry partners and our internal teams to deliver a new era of electric transport.
