The largest electric commercial vehicle manufacturer in the world

The company, based in Zhengzhou, made its first electric bus in 1999 and this powertrain and technology has evolved and gone on to be applied to a wide range of commercial vehicles. Yutong wholly owns and controls the key component supply chain, manufacturing in-house the motor, motor controller, e-drive axle and battery packs and has established a reputation for building premium products. The company employs over 50,000 people at its factory and is present in over 100 countries across the globe.
Yutong vehicles are designed and built by a highly skilled and motivated workforce, using the very latest production techniques. Yutong reinvests 5% of turnover annually towards the research and development of new technology such as autonomous driving vehicles, hydrogen fuel cells, safety systems and next generation electric drivelines. In many of these fields, Yutong is the global leader.
To date, Yutong has sold over 200,000 new energy vehicles, saving an estimated 9.6 billion litres of fuel, 1.4 billion cubic metres of gas and reducing carbon emissions by 28.5 million tons – equivalent to planting 140,000 hectares of forest.
